Women for Christ, You are chosen, set apart, and dearly loved. Colossians 3:12-14
We celebrated our tenth anniversary at our annual Women for Christ conference on March 19. At one point, the forecast for the day of the conference was 90% chance of rain and scattered thunderstorms. Many of you prayed, asking God to bless us with good weather. We had NO RAIN! As a matter of fact, the sun was shining by lunch time allowing us to sit outside comfortably. God is so good.
Not only did God shine His light outside. His light was shining inside the building as well through the fellowship, the laughter, the music, and the messages. We had a full house in spite of the gloomy weather forecast. Our oldest participant was 94. Our youngest participant was eight years old. One lady traveled 280 miles to attend the gathering.
It takes volunteers from many churches to prepare for the conference, and we are grateful beyond words to everyone who helped. We wish we could speak the names of everyone who played a part in all of this, but that’s impossible. So, like we do every year, we will simply extend our heartfelt….THANK YOU!
Watch for photos on Facebook and on this site. You will see pictures of women worshiping, laughing, and singing. You will see our speaker Kelly Minter and her violinist Bethany Bordeaux…Shelia Jackson and her accompanists Henry on the piano and Larry on the saxophone…the choir under the direction of Carol Floyd…Nancy Petrey at the piano and the return of Penelope Twirl…the beautiful decorations…door prizes…and much more!
All Glory to God!
